Author Biography Born in Clarksville, Tennessee, Paula Wall grew up in Anchorage, Alaska. She majored in environmental science at Austin Peay State University. She worked as an environmentalist, but eventually became a full-time humorist with a nationally syndicated column for Universal Press. She was named 'Humor Columnist of the Year' in 1997 by the National Society of Newspaper Columnists and was a semi-finalist for the 1999 Thurber Award. Susan Ericksen lives on the East Coast of the United States, where she performs on stage and for television. She also appears regularly with the Hope College Repertory Company. Review "A wonderfully endearing story of love, life, and change ... Wall's extraordinary and original style is the icing on one very enticing cake." -- Booklist "Fast, funny and surprisingly fresh." -- Kirkus Reviews "Paula Wall's created a crystalline world so full of one-of-a-kind characters ... you can't help but enjoy your visit." -- Jodi Picoult "First-time novelist Paula Wall has created one of the most interesting Southern women since Scartlett O'Hara. Narrator Susan Ericksen brings just the right touch of barbecue smoke and whiskey to the sensual and straighforward Charlotte Belle. While Charlotte's smoldering niece, Angela, enchants the new doctor in town, Charlotte seduces a man of the cloth in the next-door cemetery, or 'rock orchard'. Ericksen at first captures the lazy, humid atmosphere and then quickens the pace as events kick off a double-barreled romance, ending with love triumphing over all." -- AudioFile Magazine Details ISBN1740949323 Publisher Bolinda Publishing Year 2005 ISBN-10 1740949323 ISBN-13 9781740949323 Format Compact Disc Publication Date 2005-10-01 Place of Publication Tullamarine Country of Publication Australia Author Paula Wall Playing time 438 Narrator Susan Ericksen Imprint Bolinda Audio Books DEWEY 813.6 Dimensions230mm
