With perspectives that often contradict conventional wisdom, Robert has earned a reputation for straight talk, irreverence and courage. He is regarded worldwide as a passionate advocate for financial education Very  Informative read!REVIEWUSA Today ... RICH DAD, POOR DAD is a starting point for anyone looking to gain control of their financial future.THIS advice works!!   …  I read this book about 11 years ago at 27 years old , had no money, I followed the advice in this book and now have 15 rental properties paid off free and clear, my assets more than cover all my expenses. I just bought this book again, I'm in the middle of reading it again now 11 years later and can't put it down. I hate reading btw. I plan on reading this book at least three more times over the next 20 years so I can keep all info fresh in my mind. People always ask me about success. I tell them to read this book...whats crazy is that they don't read it. You can lead a horse to water but can't make it drink. The book changed my life and it will change yours. Do you want change or do you just want to talk and think about change? There is a big difference , do it. the first of the author's series….  this one is mostly a memoir to generate interest and motivation while the later books provide more detail on execution of his methods. This book should be required reading in schools. …..  Everyone needs to understand that they control their financial situation. Once you get this basic understanding of how finances work with this book, you can chose more specific subjects in other books he has written. that are of interest to you. His books provide an amazing amount of financial literacy. His basic philosophy is that learning should be fun, and his books are fun to read. PRACTICAL,  Applicable advice  …My friends have been telling me for years that I needed to read this book. I'm so thankful I finally did! There was so much practical, applicable advice in this book. I think I may have worn my highlighter out on my Kindle! My favorite part was the story about Robert as a kid when his rich dad first started teaching him about money, especially the story of Robert and his friend "making money". That was hilarious, but so ingenious and simple! This book made me rethink my decisions and emotions about money and nearly every chapter, though some parts were repetitive, offered new insight and ways to consider finances, even down to how, as a business owner, I should be paying myself first and then the bills. I NEVER would have considered that, but the way it was presented makes so much sense!I was highlighting and sharing tips with my husband all throughout reading this book and he even agreed to most of it, and that rarely happens! If you are looking to change your situation, you must first change how you think and feel about money, and this is a perfect tool to help you do that just! I highly recommend it!A powerful read ……   I just finished reading this book and it has left me feeling angry about all the debt I've lead myself into and what schools should be teaching us in school. The mantra I heard in my youth is go to school, get good grades, go to college and get a good job. Nobody said that I would be working to make someone else rich, that I would be taxed the more I make, trusting that my job and my government will still take care of me after I stop working. This book teaches you to change your mindset. Stop working for money and have money work for you. Invest in your mind and financial literacy. Invest in assests and not liabilities. Pay yourself first. Learn and ask questions from the people who are doing what you want to be doing. In my case, learning how to invest in multifamily properties without using any of my money, forming positive relationships with people, and earning passive income that will benefit future generations of my family. If you are serious, and I mean serious about getting out of the Rat Race, get this book and put it into action!!WE WERE POOR DADS  NOW WE’RE well on our way to being RICH DADS…  ….. My husband and I were both like the poor Dad. My husband eared a degree in Physics from UCLA, and I earned a degree in Computer Science from Cal State LA. We have struggled for many years because we were NOT taught success techniques and we have been searching for them all these years. We found what we were looking for in this book. I'm glad we read this as a family. We are planning to read other great books, too. It is time to prosper! One of the secrets to success is to read ONE book a month.  Marvellous Reading!
